Beautiful Baby

I had the honor this weekend of taking pictures of Jen's baby belly. I can't believe that in just a couple of weeks (or less) I will be an Aunt. It's amazing! I am really going to miss her beautiful belly...I just think it's so cute and perfect...but a little niece or nephew will be a hundred times cuter! I can't wait to spoil him/her . . .

Surprise!!

So, after my post last weekend about why we didn't have a puppy, the breeder wrote me an e-mail the very next day and said she had a puppy for us! A breeder whom she is friends with was looking for a home for some of her puppies and our breeder said this little yellow lab was the PERFECT puppy for us because she is super mellow and lovey. We picked up Cali this past Saturday and it has been...interesting (for me anyways) and a ball for Chris! Well, at least during the day it has been fun for him. The waking up at 1,3,5 and 7 for pee pee runs is really wearing thin :) But she is absolutely adorable and we love her. Someone tell me how long it will be until she'll sleep at least 6 hours....

Baby "O" is Coming!

Being a part of the planning for Jen and Erik's baby shower was so much fun! It was definitely not your typical shower, but was so them, and exactly what they wanted. We rented an old historical home for the co-ed shower on a saturday evening and had dinner, cocktails and a jazz band! But no worries...there was plenty of "baby". The centerpieces we made each revolved around a different childhood books like The Giving Tree, Are you My Mother, Curious George, etc. They were so cute! And then we chose cute baby-like names for the cocktails and cupcakes. The piece de resistance was the amazing cake my Mom got...not only was it incredibly beautiful but it was really really yummy too! I can't wait for the baby to get here so I can spoil him/her! I am going to miss Jen's little belly tho...

Diaper Cake Fun!

Ok, so I did a bunch of research on diaper cakes and figured, heck, why not try to make one on my own for my sister Jen! I figured it would be a very difficult task but not so much! It was a lot of fun and because I made it really simple (all Burt's Bees products because she is going "green" with the baby) it was easy to pull off! I'm thinking of quitting my job and making them from home...(i wish).

Puppies :(

If anyone is wondering why we don't have any pics of a new puppy, we never did get her. The puppy we really really wanted was taken by another family who had the option of choosing before us :( So we decided to leave our deposit with the breeder because she had another dog pregnant at the time. Unfortunately, that doggie lost her puppies :( I'm kinda getting the sense that maybe we shouldn't have one..lol. But, we are still holding out for the next litter and we will keep you posted!

NYC Christmas

Travelling to NYC during the week between Christmas and New Years?? Not the best idea since everyone else in the country has the same idea. Nonetheless we had a day filled with fun as we visited FAO Schwartz, Central Park, Rockefeller Center and St. Patricks. We also stopped by Saks to look at their windows and see their light show. For those of you who have never seen the Times Square Ball...it's tiny!! You can barely see it in the pics. Overall, it was definitely an experience for Angela, it being her first Christmas here in New York :)

Christmas 2008

Although it has been a month since Christmas and I am very late posting these pics, how can you not enjoy pics of Christmas! Who doesn't like opening presents and celebrating with family ;) Christmas was wonderful this year and we had a great time hosting brunch and dinner for the family. This was the first year that Angela, Chelsea and Mom joined us for the holidays too! They visited the week between Christmas and New Years and we had a blast (as you can see above). Note...if you look at the pictures of Jen & Erik's puppy Riley you can seek Baby "O" (in utero that is). Jen's belly is just so adorable and we can't wait to meet our little niece or nephew :)
