Chris and I have been doing work around the house this summer, both inside and out. It's nice to have time, now that the wedding frenzy is over. First, we started on the yard. We dug up a bunch of the plantings from the previous owners, since absolutely everything in our yard is the color green. Our hydgrangea from last year are doing awesome but we still needed to add a bit of color. It doesn't look like much now but hopefully they will grow in nicely over the next couple of years. We also had our first experience with strawberries this year which was fun!! We will continue to take more pictures of the decorating we are doing indoors. Yesterday's task was to start clearing out all of the construction materials out of the basement from our kitchen and bedroom renovation last year...not so fun. Next on my list is to decorate Angela's room...she is coming to stay with us for the first time this summer! We can't wait!

The 5th Season is Open!!
Ok, so this post is a little late. My sister and her husband's restaurant, The 5th Season, reopened in May of this year in Port Jefferson. They were formerly located in Greenport, where they had an adorable quaint space with an open kitchen. The new location is right on the water, has two floors and an outdoor deck. It is such an incredible space and they have been doing so well since the opening. We wish them the best of luck!!
Jeanine's Baby Shower
My childhood friend Jeanine is counting the days to the delivery of her baby girl, Madison. We recently went to her beautiful baby shower. Madison has so many cute clothes, toys and wonderful things for her nursery now!! We can't wait to meet Madison when she arrives.
