Mowing the "Field"

This past weekend Chris and I bought our first lawnmower and weedwacker and went to town on the "back field", better known as our extremely overgrown backyard. Despite the 10 or so times the mower stalled due to the "rough terrain"...we got the job done! Click here for pics

Mom & Chelsea Come to New York

This weekend Mom & Chelsea came from CA to stay with us as the very first guests in our new house! We spent some time in NYC and indulged in great desserts at Serendipity on Saturday and then on Sunday we drove out to the end of Long Island to have dinner at Jen & Erik's restaurant. A great time was had by all and we can't wait to see them again in June when we head out to Santa Barbara for some more wedding planning! Click here to see some pics of the weekend

Kitchen Counters!

The new soapstone kitchen counters were installed today. The pictures show them freshly oiled. They are actually light grey and over time as you oil them they become darker! We love them...and our new faucet and sink too. Click here for more pics.

We Moved In!!

So we finally moved in this past weekend. There are still lots of things to do in the house like countertops and paint in the kitchen, furniture for the living room and office, etc. but we are in and we are ecstatic! We spent Saturday moving in with the moving company and unpacking a bit and then on Sunday it was so beautiful out that we gave unpacking a rest and did some landscaping! click here for some pictures of the move
